Kathy has provided counseling in the Denver area for 20 years. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Counseling & Guidance, specializing in Marriage & Family Therapy, both from the University of Wisconsin. Kathy has owned and operated counseling centers in both Wisconsin & Colorado. She was a partner in a WI State Certified Mental Health and Outpatient Alcohol & Drug clinic for thirteen years, which focused on personal mental health in addition to State contracts for our ‘Parenting and Family Reunification’ program, DUI programming, and a Criminal Thinking program in a minimum security prison.

Kathy focuses on individual and family mental health services. Kathy has previously been certified as an Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADCIII) and a counselor for the Domestic Violence Intervention Program in Wisconsin. The program had one of the lowest recidivism rates in the country. She also has further training as a Mediator and a Child & Family Investigator.

Kathy utilizes an eclectic approach in order to find what works best for a specific individual, couple, or family. Kathy believes that we all have times in our lives when we need perspective and insight beyond our own and is honored to be a part of each client’s journey.

Kathy is also a dog-lover. She rescued her pup CeeCee several years ago and worked diligently to decrease CeeCee’s anxiety disorder responses, taking her training as a therapist ‘to the dogs’. CeCe has come so very far! CeeCee and Kathy work together now and both truly enjoy their meeting with their clients.

Kathy also enjoys reading, gardening, biking, and taking long walks on the beach.
