Your questions are important to us!

Please contact us if you have any additional needs or questions about Elliant Counseling.

  • At Elliant Counseling Services, you can expect:

An environment to begin processing your history, life challenges, and personal goals.

Safety, respect, and honest open feedback.

    Understanding, compassion, and confidentiality.

Knowledge regarding healthy coping skills, emotional processing, and goal setting.

Support with current life stressors and a new perspective on how to face adversity.

  • Elliant Counseling Services encourages you to set up a free consultation call with one (or more!) of our therapists to help you find the best fit for you. Studies have shown again and again that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist, or the “therapeutic alliance,” is the only reliable–and the most powerful–predictor of a positive outcome for the client. Your consult call is confidential and gives you the opportunity to ask the therapist questions about their experience and the therapy process while giving them a chance to understand your goals for therapy and access if they’re the best person to help.

The purpose of the consultation is to help both you and the therapist determine if you are a good fit for working together and to discuss the next steps if you decide to proceed with therapy.

  • The initial appointment is designed to get to know you and gain an understanding of what you are hoping to get out of the therapy process. Taking the first step can be difficult. It is normal to feel hesitant and/or nervous. We are committed to providing a warm, inviting environment to help you feel safe and comfortable. During your first session, we will discuss confidentiality and begin to establish goals for our work together.

  • We all struggle at times in our lives and need support along the way. People seek therapeutic services for various reasons. Many people need support and guidance in relationships and to navigate family dynamics. Life transitions such as divorce, loss of a loved one, loss of employment, moving, and a change in career can be very challenging to face alone. Many people are seeking therapy for personal growth and emotional healing. Therapy can be beneficial in raising personal awareness, insight, and compassion to move toward a more fulfilling life.

  • Therapy can optimize your unique strengths while helping you understand and change negative beliefs and behaviors that have become habitual. It can also help you identify your goals, provide tools for moving toward healing, address symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Therapy can help you gain personal understanding, insight, and coping skills for situational or long-standing struggles.

  • You may be ready for therapy if you're struggling with life challenges, seeking personal growth, or feeling stuck in patterns of behavior or thinking. If you're open to exploring your thoughts and feelings, committed to making changes, and willing to engage in the therapeutic process, talking to a therapist can help you determine if therapy is right for you.

  • The therapeutic process is tailored for your unique goals. Our therapists have specialized training to meet your specific needs, and we will work with you to find the right fit. Therapy can be short-term with a focus on a specific goal or more open-ended to address more complex issues.

  • Depending on your level of use, we may be suited to support you in your recovery. See where you fall inside of these parameters:

Substance abuse describes the harmful or hazardous use of substances. It is characterized by a pattern of use that leads to significant impairment or distress, such as problems at work, school, or in relationships.

We are able to work with clients who feel that their substance use is having a detrimental effect on their lives, but who are not in a state of active dependence.

Substance dependence is a condition characterized by a strong desire or need to use a substance, despite harmful consequences. It is often accompanied by increased tolerance and withdrawal symptoms when the substance is not used.

Substance dependence requires in-patient care to ensure bodily safety as withdrawal can lead to psychological and physiological distress as well as dangerous medical consequences. If you are in this category, please ask us for a referral to in-patient care.

  • Yes! At Elliant Counseling, we believe that in-person counseling is the best option, particularly for trauma work, because it helps create a safe environment, allows for non-verbal communication, and builds rapport between therapist and client. We are happy to provide in-person services to the Denver metro from our office in Centennial, Colorado.

  • Yes! While in-person counseling can be important for trauma therapy, we know that virtual therapy options can be effective for some individuals, especially in situations where in-person sessions are not feasible or accessible.

  • The cost of therapy varies depending on several factors, including the therapist's qualifications and the type of therapy offered.
See an explanation of our fees.

  • Yes, under the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate which shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created and is subject to change. Talk to your therapist for details.

  • At Elliant Counseling, we do not panel directly with any insurance providers, but we can offer you a reimbursement form (also known as a superbill) to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Many of our clients get reimbursements of up to 70% of their session fees by submitting a superbill to their insurer.
