Alice Maksim is a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC III), a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), and a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Counselor (EMDR). Alice provides contract services with Elliant Counseling Services in Centennial, Colorado. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Regis University in 1999 and has an undergraduate degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.

Alice specializes in trauma therapy with children beginning at age six, teens, and adults through their senior years from a Christian perspective. Alice offers office, community, and home outreach services.

Alice has a warm, positive, playful demeanor. She believes in the human potential for emotional, physiological, and mental growth, healing and behavioral change. Alice works with her clients to establish treatment goals that are unique to their specific needs.

In addition to providing specialized skills in trauma recovery, Alice utilizes a support animal, Olivia, to facilitate further regulation and comfort for her clients. Olivia has received specialized training to become a therapy animal. She is hypoallergenic and has a sweet and nurturing presence.

In her free time, Alice enjoys long walks, singing in a choir, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves the Colorado mountains and spends time camping and fishing with her husband and Olivia in the summer.
