Mark Carlson

INTERN THERAPIST
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adults, Teens
Accepting new clients

Mark is a warm, gentle, and personable counselor who crafts a very client-centered, heart-felt approach to his sessions – artfully mixing in cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to engage the mind.

As a high school senior, Mark experienced a school shooting that drastically altered the course of his life and his mental health, initially in an extremely difficult way. However, it ultimately led him to receive his own counseling, have a profound healing experience, and be inspired to pursue his Master’s Degree in Counseling to help others.

Mark previously worked many years in customer service, which now influences how he caters to and adjusts sessions according to his clients’ needs and feedback. Mark believes his strong, compassionate relationships with clients serves as a blueprint and example for how clients can heal their relationships with themselves and others.

Mark is passionate about helping adults navigate post-traumatic and existential crises similar to the one he experienced and is motivated to help men with addictive personalities, specifically those struggling with pornography and sexual/behavioral addictions. He would love to begin working with couples as well.

Overall, he is approachable, loves to meet new people, and would be honored to help you on your healing journey.
