Current thinking suggests that challenging behavior is often the result of a delay in skills or response to trauma. Yet, parents all too often feel blamed for their children’s challenging behaviors. In this class parents will learn new brain-based strategies to teach self-control and frustration tolerance in order to prevent problem behavior before it occurs. Through a combination of information sharing and safe, supportive connection, participants will leave this class with increased hope and the knowledge that they are not alone in navigating the parenting journey.

Some of my areas of interest/specialization to share with prospective parents.

Behavioral concerns including ADHD, anxiety, anger management and school refusal

Development of executive functioning skills/academic and learning concerns

 LGBTQ+/identity Issues

 Social Skills

 School Collaboration

 Parenting support
